A Value Model for a Network and Leverage Economy

چکیده

Twelve value drivers influencing the creation of value in different parts of value chains or value networks are discussed. These value drivers cover value created through supply and manufacturing, market interactions, demand and consumption. The relative importance of these value drivers is changing as the economy is changing from the conventional style to the new economy based on networks and extensive use of leverage. Some of these value drivers have been quantified for selected assets in the examples presented here. In particular the changes in the value drivers in response to changes in parameters like investment or quantity are important: it can serve as a basis for directing efforts towards the activities creating the most value at specific locations in a value network thereby helping businesses succeed in a changing environment, investors evaluate investment opportunities or governments facilitating economic growth.
